    History buffer is full

    Hi,
I have zabbix 1.8.2 installed in a Debian Lenny with:

    168 hosts
    10034 items
    5232 triggers

When I start the zabbix server everything works fine... but after a while, my queue begins to increase. Everything still working but with around 10 minutes of delay.

In the zabbix logs I find lots of "History buffer is full. Sleeping for 1 second.", I tried to change lots of parameters of my.conf and zabbix-server.conf but it doesn't works properly.

Can anybody help me with the exact parameter that I have to change and the correct value?

Thank you in advance and sorry for my poor English

Can you tell about which items are in queue? Whether items with activie agents are more or normal (passive) agents are more.

It better to use active agents.

You have to increase the StartTrappers to say 10-15 if your items are active.
For passive agents increase the StartPollers to say 10-15.

    (Edit zabbix_server.conf and restart zabbix_server)

Also make sure your items are having reasonalble update interval.

    Thanks
    Vijay

Due to my network´s topology I have to use pasive agents in all my servers. I know that is not the best but before upgrading to 1.8.2 it works fine.

I have increase the StartPollers to 25 (15 was the initial value of my config)

I'm gonna try it and keep you informed.

      Thanks

        Hi again,
Increasing the startpollers the performance doesn't improve, I have change the update intervals and it seems to work properly.

If you have any idea to solve it without change the update intervals, please let me know.

        Thank you in advance.
