    Log watcher

I cannot seem to be able to watch any log files.

The help in the documentation is very limited and seems unix only.

Can someone offer any help to monitor windows log files.

Before going any further have you searched the forums?

Your observation about the documentation being Linux/Unix centric is correct, however Zabbix is a very capable platform for monitoring windows. Yes the documentation may be a little light in this area but there are many discussions in the forum about this.

If you are having trouble understanding something please feel free to ask for clarification about that. Often most of the confusion centres around not understanding something fairly simple, when when cleared up unlocks the information. :-)

Search for "event log" or eventlog, and see if that helps get you one step closer.

Thanks but I have already tried that

I had already tried to search the forums without luck and have retired to make sure.

At this time I would agree its a lack of knowledge, but that in itself is causing a degree of frustration.

All that I need is a link to something and I'll be away.

      Thanks

I am specifically concerned about log watchers, not at this time the event log watchers, although that would be my next thing to look at.
