1.1Beta 5...trapper not compiling... server hanging

I am compiling beta5 on a Debian system with MySQL 4.1. basically trapper doesn't compile and when i try to run the server it just hangs. I have succesfully built and installed on CentOS but no go on this Debian box.

using:

./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql

I do not see any errors in the log files. Why do you think the server hangs?

When I run it it never spawns children and doesnt release the terminal. It also never outputs a log file.

Should it compile a trapper binary? It isn't.

What do you run exactly? zabbix_server?

su zabbix -c /usr/local/bin/zabbix_server


I have also run it as root.

It just sits there... I never get my prompt back.

btw - the agent seems to work fine.
