End of update_trigger_value():FAIL

hi,

i´m using zabbix server 1.8.3 and agent 1.8.3.

In the server log i found following line:
End of update_trigger_value():FAIL

The reason i looked into the server.log was, that every 5 min, all trigger on one machine going to state "unknown", and then after 1 min the are ok again.

very strange is that i receive value from this host, but only the trigger seems to be freaking out.

does someone have the same problem?
how can i solve it?

Can you describe your setup? Are you using proxies or DM?

I'm just using a Server-Agent config. No proxies, no DM.
The only thing i use is snmp values, could it be that?

You do see the values being updates for your SNMP items in the latest data screen?

Perhaps you could post the item and trigger details here so we can have a look if something is amiss?

I've found that in my setup, when using SNMP the triggers could also not be evaluated. I my case that was because the items hadn't yet updated (the interval for some items was 1800 or even 3600 seconds).

This caused a similar error in my logs, when there are enough values for the item to correctly evaluate the trigger, the error goes away.

Could this also have been your problem?

I have something similar in 1.8.3. Just setup item for snmp host with 30 sec update interval. Snmp device is hw temp sensor. I have temp on sensors about 23 C, so for testing I setup trigger on 20 C - {host:TempHW.last(0)}>20.
Waiting for 60 sec and nothing happend...no message on dashboard, no mail. So I look into events page and there was events as it shouldby but with status UNKNOWN. After 10 minits I get first message. So what Im doing wrong?

futher investigation through exploring graphs tell me, that there is another problem. If I look into graph I should see hit in line every 30 sec., but there isnt any hit inside 10 minute window. I just increased number of pollers to 50 from 10 but so far no change.
