bind() failed with error 68

I'm seeing the following in my agentd (1.8.3) log:

10055886:20110110:142851.906 Get active checks error: bind() failed with error 68: Can't assign requested address

10055886:20110110:142851.906 In process_active_checks('10.8.44.100',10051)

Not able to find documentation on how to troubleshoot this; does anyone have more info?

I have a similar problem:

3773:20110111:182226.490 Listener failed with error: bind() for
[[X.X.X.X]:10050] failed with error 99: Cannot assign requested
address.
