Problem of monitoring unix log

Hi,

I'm testing to setup a template to monitoring the unix log [/var/log/messages] from my zabbix server.

However, I received the below error in the agent log:

3087:20110214:160002.403 Cannot open [/var/log/messages] [Permission denied]
3087:20110214:160002.403 Active check [log[/var/log/messages]] is not supported. Disabled.

Here is the configuration of the template:

zabbix agent is run as 'zabbix' user. It doesn't have read access to system log files by default.
I have added zabbix to adm group. It gives read only access to log files.
