    Zabbix is temporarily unavailable!

    Receive the message "Zabbix is temporarily unavailable!" when connecting to the frontend, and no other messages are displayed. I initially received a sql database password error and php timezone error, but found instructions on how to resolve both issues. Now, no other message is displayed, so I have no clue where else to look.

    Running on Mint. I am a Linux beginner, so please keep that in mind if you reply.

    Am I the only one to have ever experienced this problem? I cannot find any help relating to this symptom.

      I just installed Zabbix for the first time and went through the Administration - Installation section and ended up with the same issue. It was giving me the same "Zabbix is temporarily unavailable" error, but it was also giving more info at the top of the screen. The specific error mentioned a problem with mysql and it didn't like the password.

      I modified /usr/local/share/zabbix/conf/zabbix.conf.php (your location may be different) and had to change the $DB["PASSWORD"] line to my correct sql password. In my case, I was using a blank SQL password (I know it's not good to do that), so I just changed the value to = '';

      After saving that file, then I hit retry on the browser page and it immediately worked. So, I'm guessing there's something in that file of your that it doesn't like... maybe.
