    Linux Memory Utilization Graphs

    Hi,

I could not see any Linux Memory Utilization Graphs in Linux templates. Other graphs like CPU load, CPU utilization, Network Utilization, Disk Utilization are present. Memory Utilization is also a very important part of Monitoring a Linux Server.

In windows template memory utilization graph is present.

Can anybody point me to the right direction for getting memory utilization graphs for linux servers ?

    Thanks

In the default Windows Template I don't see any graphs at all!

If your Windows and Linux hosts are monitoring using the zabbix agent, then you can simply copy the memory utilization graph from your windows template over to your Linux template.
Go to Configuration --> Hosts --> Graphs, for your windows template, then select the graph(s) that you want, then 'Copy selected to ...', then hit 'Go' and select the target host/template.

      Hi,

      Thanks for the reply.

Default windows template does not have any graphs. However on zabbix template wiki there is a windows enhanced template which have got all those graphs.

Since windows users perf_counter to get the data, the copying part which you suggested will not work since here we are talking of a different OS together.

Here is the error which I get when copying :

Missing key "perf_counter[\Paging File(_Total)\% Usage]" for host "Template_Linux"
Skipped copying of graph "CPU, Mem, Disk % Utilization" to host "Template_Linux"

Can anybody help me in getting memory utilization graph for Linux Servers in Zabbix ?

        Try this:

        Go to configuration --> Templates
Go to Template_Linux, click on Graphs
In the top right corner click Create Graph

Then add details similar to below. To add the Items, click the Add button.

        Good luck!

            Hy,

If you want more details like cached or buffered memory, you can create a calculated element and make a little more complex graph.

            Regards

                Memory Template Zabbix 2.2

                Hi Guys,

I've recently downloaded Zabbix 2.2 and started monitoring 4 physical UNIX servers since they are experiencing slowness and they are suspecting it could be the Memory that's causing the slowness, I've actually configured those servers, enabled SNMP and it's started gathering data, I've actually added those predefined templates to monitor those services, i was asked to monitor CPU, Memory, Ping, Network & Disk Utilization.

After leaving it to collect data, i managed to create some graphs to be presented to the management. Now, they are asking me for Memory Utilization separately and i'm unable to sync and existing template to actually monitor Memory on it's own.

Also i'm unable to get the agent installed since they don't want to install any other application since it's production servers.

Please help me to the correct template so i can get this moving.

Also i came across some article saying that the template monitor Memory as a Disk partition, Am i correct? Is there a custom template to monitor MEM please...?

I've also attached a print screen showing my dashboard. Please advise me if you need any more print screens.

                Thank you experts in advance...
