Time recorded by items and charts wrong

Hi all, I'm really impressed by Zabbix, really enjoying getting it all set up, but have run into something that I just can't get my head around.

I'm running the Zabbix 1.8.4 Appliance on VMware server 2, and I'm based in the UK. I've set the server to Europe/UK time using YaST2.

The time recorded by my Items and Charts is several hours out. Here's what i've checked so far:

Here, the time showed in the OS is correct:


Here, the clock is correct, but the status bar time is out


Here, the date displayed by the items is out to the same degree as the status bar display


And the same for the charts


The minutes are always pretty much correct for Item and Chart data, it's just the hours that are out, so I'm guessing there's some kind of time zone translation going on somewhere. But where!?

I'm completely stumped! Any ideas would be gratefuly recieved.

set your timezone in the php.ini or at least check if its correct

[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
date.timezone = Europe/Amsterdam

Thank you so much! That's cured it.

The tricky part was actually finding the php.ini file. For anyone else struggling, here's the location in the applicance version 1.8.4

/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

And set the time zone to Europe/London.
