    Zabbix not graphic full history/trends

I recently noticed that graphs went from having a max length of around 1 month to suddenly only 1 week and 5 days. My understanding was that by setting an item's Trends rention to 365 days that my graphs could potentially go out that far. However recently I refreshed a graph and it went from 1 month down to 1 week 5 days while still having zoom set to "All". I then checked and noticed all related graphs suddenly had no more than about 1 weeks worth of information displayed. Maybe I misunderstood the different between trends and history.

For all my items I want graphing data I set the history to 7 days and the trends to 365 days. This zabbix forum post makes it sound like if I choose "Zoom All" and it's greater than 24 hours then the trends data should be used.

What's even more strange is that a graph generated from item "Available Memory" (builtin check for Linux systems) has 1 month and 5 days worth of data, but a calculated item based from that check (Percent Available Memory), is only showing 1 week 5 days. I'm attaching the relavent configs.

I have not yet had any problems with Zabbix so am not well versed in how to go about troubleshooting this. I saw similar posts that got results by changing the Max Y / Min Y but that did not help in this case. Any advice is welcome.

EDIT: Screen shots show my altered config where I changed history to 30 days.

    Thanks

you might want to change the type to Numeric (float).
I suspect because you are doing division, it is wanting to return a float, but you have defined type decimal.

You will probably see this in the logs.

Hence the "no data". This also why you only have a limited period on your graph.

Wow thank you! Switched to Numeric (float) and suddenly my graphs are back to their full length of about 1.5 months.

Should all calculated items be assigned Numeric (float) ?

      Thanks!

It depends on the operation you do.
An integer is OK If you only add, subtract or multiply integers.
