index.php will not load

Good afternoon,

Last Friday I installed zabbix 1.8.5 on an Ubuntu 8.04 fresh install. It worked fine Friday. Today I tried to access the installation and the index.php won't load. Each time to go to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/zabbix I get the popup box as to what to do with it (FF). It will not open even if you tell it to load with firefox (or any other browser for that matter) -- it just downloads the file.

I had installed webmin and have since removed it thinking that might have been the issue but it made no difference.

I have also rebooted the server which also made no difference.

The zabbix server is running as well as apache2.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Solved

Found it -- for some reason libapache2-mod-php5 had been removed. Re-installed with apt-get and off it went.

Still don't know if my install of webmin caused it or not, but it is running now.
