    Latest data - dots instead lines

    Hi,

    Does somebody from You met the problem that in all charts are dots instead lines?
    Sometimes charts are correct (in long time) but in short time (e.g. 1-6 hour)
    are dots (as in screenshot).

    What does your queue look like?

    Did you recently change the item collection frequency? I've noticed this behavior when I've changed item collection frequency also.

    It seems more likely to me, however, that the item is either timing out or not being written to DB quickly enough. Check your Queue to see if you are backed up.

        Sorry. You'd recognize it as:
        Code:
        Update interval (in sec)

          Whole my queue is on green.

          I`m making SQL query on Zabbix database:
          > select delay from items;

          And I`ve got standard delay (e.g. 5, 30 sec).
          Samplig seems correct but charts not.
          Does exist any setting which indicating kind of charts (line, dot....)?

          Maybe You`ve got any other proposition?

            Don't want to come in stupid here but do you have the graph defined as dot instead of line under the draw style option or are you in the latest data section?

              I`ve got set kind of graphs:

              select drawtype from graphs_items; => 0 (zero)
              select graphtype from graphs; => 0 (zero)

              Maybe I don`t know where I should to check/define draw style...
              Zabbix`s manual don`t answer for this question.

              Additional problem rely on this that sometimes graphs are correct, sometimes not (without any changes in configuration).

                What is your update interval? In some cases, it's ridiculously short, like 5 seconds. Try increasing it to no less than 30 if that's the case, otherwise try updating it to 1 minute.

                What is your database server and zabbix server architecture? Solaris stinks as a Zabbix server. It couldn't write values out fast enough.

                  I saw this same issue after changing the Update interval from 30 to 5 seconds. The latest data graph went back to displaying a line once I changed the interval back to 30 seconds.

                    I just confirmed tonight with nelsonab that this happens when the data is received slower than the actual update interval.

                    make your interval a little longer and it will clear up.
