Delayed Items in queue

Hi to all
I'm having a strange Issue with a ZBX 1.8.5 on top of a RHEL machine, there are 7 items in the queue delayed by almost 20 hours ... and those items belong to the zabbix server itself! and those are the only ones delayed, the queues are normal, delays of some seconds only, but this 7 items (out of almost 70 monitored in that same host) have been queded this way for several days and zabbix is not retrieveing values for this items, for the rest of items of thi host the behaviour is normal, what can be happening here?

I too have a similar issue with a 1.8.1 server. The zabbix server itself has 100 odd items, 10 of which are often in the queue for long periods.

Is there a way to debug as to why the items are queued long periods?
