Slideshow stuck on the first screen?!?

    Greetings Zabbix Community,

I've got a problem with a slideshow: it appears that the slideshow has gotten "stuck" on the first slide. I've tried deleting and re-creating the slideshow (but not the individual screens) - but alas this has not been helpful.

The slideshow "refreshes" at the correct interval (30 or 60 seconds), however when it attempts to refresh the page in order to load the next slide, it loads and then very quickly reverts back to slide #1. The result is a very boring slideshow that keeps refreshing the same slide (screen #1) every 30 or 60 seconds.

The same result has been observed using Safari5/FireFox5/Chrome12 (OSX) with several different user profiles (User, Admin, & Super Admin).

I am running Zabbix 1.8.2 apt installed on Debian 6.0.1/Squeeze (i386).

Otherwise my Zabbix experience has been a really positive one thus far, and I'm wondering what options I have to fix this issue outside of the general advice of "upgrade to the latest version" (because 1.8.2 is the latest available "stable" deb - unless I put the package on hold so I can go in and manually update the installation of Zabbix).

    Many Thanks,

    -David.

you could try disabling page refresh temporarily in your user profile (enter 0 there).

if that helps, this problem most likely is fixed in the latest zabbix stable version (https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-2227)

That fixed it, Many Thanks! (The Zabbix Community r0ck5!

      That did it, thanks!!

Your explanation also makes sense logically - the general interface preference refresh of 30 seconds and the 30 second slide refresh were hitting at the same time, effectively causing the slideshow to "reset".

Thanks for the quick & prompt response - I had already created a separate "lcd" user for the purposes of logging into Zabbix from the machine that is connected to these overhead monitors, so disabling the interface refresh for the lcd user is a perfectly acceptable work-around until the Debian package maintainers get around to updating Zabbix in Squeeze.

      Thanks Again!!
