    Zabbix Server 1.8.5 Memory Usage

    Hello
We have a Zabbix Server 1.8.5 installation with 8Gb of memory.
We need to restart zabbix_server process every day because this process increase the consumption of memory gradually until it runs out of memory.
Does this happen to anyone else?
    Thanks.

      how large is your database?

MySQL likes to store as much of the database in memory to improve performance.

although all your memory will be used up, it wont impact the server as it releases memory when needed.

My server's memory gets consumed quite quickly. I have 12 GB of memory, and my database is 40 GB. The server runs smoothly. the only reason it was rebooted last was because I had to move it to another rack.

        Hi,
My zabbix database size is 44,3GB.
I attach last 3 hours graph where you can see the memory usage by zabbix_server. It always goes up.

        Thank you for your replies.

yep, it will be MYSQL eating your meemory. But not to worry, it is not a problem as the memory is well managed.

I'm not sure because I don't understand why zabbix_server memory usage goes up again and again.
This usage of memory is the reason of mysqld is being killed.
