ICMPPING items not showing up on latest data

I had a working install of 1.8.3 on Ubuntu Server 8.10 (old, yes I know.)

I went through updating the server to 9.04 successfully. Everything still worked.

Upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 and the ICMPPING stopped working. ICMPPINGSEC also stopped working. I don't see any errors, but the item is not listed under latest data for any of my hosts that have the item applied.

Where do I start to investigate this problem?

Check if the fping path in your Zabbix config still points to the correct binary, it may have changed location.

I built a new server and migrated my database to it. The original server was built when I *REALLY* didn't know anything about linux. Now I know just enough to get in trouble.
