Oh good lord will you please stop emailing me!

I'm setting up a new Zabbix instance and along the way I set up a trigger and action that will not stop emailing. I can't get it to stop. Version 1.8.6.

The trigger was set as a disc space free on /var, severity high, with a percentage below the actual value, to test that it would work. An action was set up that any trigger with severity = high email me once per minute.

The purpose of all of this is that I wanted to see the formatting and wording of the email to be able to setup mail filters and all.

So, the emails started flowing once per minute as I'd hoped.

Having seen the emails and been satisfied with the wording I then changed the trigger to the proper percentage that I want to really be notified for, and changed the the severity to warning. I have a warning action that emails just once, and to a completely different email address. This works, just as I'd hoped.

    Great, right?

No. Problem is that the original action value is being carried out, still. Once per minute, for two days now, the original testing email address is being emailed. The old action has been completely deleted as near as I can tell, and zabbix has been restarted, but the emails still come like a metronome.

Is there someplace in the database I'd find this and somehow make it stop?

did you enable escalations in the action at some point ?
table 'escalations' in the db might hold the answer to your problem

Yes, that was it, thank you. I had tested an escalation but deleted it. It wasn't showing in the interface at all, but there it was in the database. No more minutely emails, thanks!
