    1.8.6 bug ? icmpingsec returns 0

    Hi.
since upgrading to 1.8.6, all my icmpingsec checks are returning '0'
the problem is that I'm using a trigger on icmpingcheck=0 to check for ping avaiability , meaning I'have received a flood of 'ping for host is down'

is this a known issue ?

at first I thought it was proxy related as I just installed a 1.8.6 proxy, but when upgrading the main server, items began showing 0 too...

the fping binary is there, works and returns non 0 values

    any clues ?

    hm...
    completely unrelated to 1.8.6

apparently selinux got updated behind my back and somehow is blocking fping from reading the tmp file containing list of IPs.

and of course there is nothing in the logs, I guess there is a dontaudit rule somewhere . nice.

    let's go selinux hunting ... d'oh
