zabbix_server 1.8.7 constantly crashes

I've tried updating to Zabbix 1.8.7 yesterday, but I can't keep the server up. The stack trace is always the same:

When reverting to 1.8.6 the problem goes away.

This is on a Centos 5.6 i686, I tried it with both PostgreSQL 8.4.8 and 9.0.4.

Same issue for me on two different servers, both are running Debian 6.0.2, with MySQL 5.1.49. :-(

I can confirm that the http://www.zabbix.com/downloads/nigh...x-21483.tar.gz are working :-)

Not sure if this is related but we updated yesterday to 1.8.7 (from 1.8.6).

Has problems straight away - serivce kept stopping and the queue would build up. Become stable after around 2 hours.

Came in to work this morning and the service had stopped again. Reverted back to 1.8.6 and all is well again.

Unfortunately I'm not too versed in troubleshooting linux so I can't really give you much more insight in to what was making it fail.

Running mysql 5.0.77 and Centos 5.5 x64

It only happened to me once.
Next morning I upgraded to 1.8.8rc

I only know that it didn't want to start again, not even after a reboot of the virtual machine. After I rebooted to host (proxmox) all went well.

I will let you know if it happens again with 1.8.8rc
