Import template not working

Zabbix 1.8.9.
Trying to import template from XML file and getting a an blank Grey screen with only the top tab menu visible.
Template is not imported and I couldn't track any error message in the logs.

I found some mentions to similar problems on the internet but all claim it was fixed.
Are there any alternative ways to import a template?

Any idea?

Have you installed php-xml?

yum install php-xml php-dom
