    Zabbix busy configuration syncer processes

    Hi,

We're using zabbix since a year now, and are now running v1.8.10 with postgresql.

Since a day the zabbix internals shows a constant "Zabbix busy configuration syncer process" from 50% to 100% of busyness and the machine load is quite heavy.

This is the first time it happens. What could be the problem ?
What is the configuration syncer doing ?

    Thanks for your help.

re: Zabbix busy configuration syncer processes

I just started having this problem as well, 3 days ago. I'm using 1.8.11 on mysql. The configuration syncer shot up from its historical average of <1% to floating between 30-100% busy, seeing 100% spikes every 2-6 minutes. The % of busy history syncer processes climbed at the same time, from <2% to around 11%. Restarts of zabbix-server and increases in the CacheSize or StartDBSyncers values have not had any effect on this pattern. At DebugLevel 3, nothing in the zabbix_server.log correlated with this change, though I did find a "Mysql server has gone away" message from the previous day. My 1.8.9 zabbix instance hasn't seen anything like this, although it isn't as busy as the 1.8.11 instance.
