We're trying to use auto registration to register new hosts as we install the Zabbix agent. Servers I've tried are 1.8.10 and also 1.9.9(beta). Client hosts are AIX using the pre-compiled 1.8.7 binaries.
The auto registration entry on the action tab has no conditions, and the operations are add host, add to hostgroup, and link template.
The client's zabbix_agentd.conf has the hostname set. I've tried setting the source ip, source port, etc but no luck.
I don't have an discovery rule, as I didn't think it was needed for the auto registration to work.
Adding the hosts manually through the web UI does allow the client's agent to report properly. I just can't get the auto registration to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
