Graphs and Screens doesn't show anything with "guest" user

Hi,

We have the Zabbix Server 1.8.10 working perfectly for months and now, guests users (of guest group) can't access graphs or screens views anymore.

The top menu appers fine but all of rest of screen shows empty.

Any suggest will be very appreciated.

Another info...

Only on "Zabbix Super Admin User" can view normally. Even ZabbixAdministrator can't.

The zabbix_server.log, agent.log, debug mode, etc doesn't show anything wrong.

I can't release the admin privileges to all users so nobody is accessing the system. Please, anyone? Any idea? Any tip?

Check that you users groups have read access to the hosts they should see.
(Adm. > Users > UserGroups)

Yes, they have access to all hosts. Even user "guest" has too.

Nothing was maded on server and all users had access before. Now, when clicling on "screens link", the request still wainting until timeout and I've seen a high load on mysql process in this moment but nothing is showed in logs, screens, nothing.

Any idea?

DB issues?
(I suppose you have try to reboot your server)
Maybe try to ask at the zabbix irc channel.

Yes, I'm betting on DB issue.

The server was not rebooted but all services (mysql, apache, zabbix server, zabbix agent) was restarted. Do you think it's important to reboot the machine? I'm running on RH Linux.

The most funny is that I can see the page normaly with zabbix super user privileges and now, without these privileges the screen keep "thinking" forever doesn't showing anything.

At the begginning I was wondering if is not a performance problem because many screens was created recently but these don't make sense once I can see all normally with zabbix administrator user.

Eric (or anybody) can help me find out how the permission (privileges) works on Zabbix DB? (which tables, which relationship, rules, etc)

It's very clear that we haven't a performance problem here once the super admin user can access those pages normally. So we thinking this as a privilege problem. This because we had a space over filesystem problem and this would could caused some damage on zabbix data.

Folks,

I did made a test in a dev environment that was working properly and after creating severel items/graphs/screens as created in production env, the access was compromised.

Now we can see that in fact there is a performance matter here. But we only can't understand why all works perfectly with super admin user.

We workaround, not solve, right? The access problem remains and I can't figure out why the access can be so fast with super user and not with normal user...

If this doesn't happens, actually we wouldn't have a problem.

Well - did read you post a bit to fast I think.
I am not a expert on this, but it looks like that the super admin do not make the same performence footprints on zabbix then the normal users then. Do you have a lot of hosts, items and users?

Hint: You should have a true input and input, e.g if your dataset dield in zabbix dashboard would not be the same as the item pattern and you enter different hosts it would make this bug and you would not recieve any kind of graph in the item field , but if they would be the same it works perfect.
