I have set up triggers and actions in Zabbix 1.8.6 whereby an email alert is sent should a problem arise (e.g. high processor load, disk availability dropped below certain level).
The alerts get sent fine when there is a PROBLEM or when all is OK. However, I cannot fathom out why up to 6 emails for the same alert are sent at one time. Most trigger events generate multiple emails. But the odd one (e.g. /etc/passwd checksum changes) only issue a single email. All very odd.
I have checked the forums for an answer but no joy.
Has anyone encountered this problem and if so, how was it resolved?
