Invalid NET-SNMP directory - unable to find net-snmp-config

hello people,


am trying to setup zabbix 1.8.10 on ubuntu 8.10 and when i run this:

./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-pgsql --with-net-snmp
--with-jabber --with-libcurl

it gives me back this:

configure: error: Invalid NET-SNMP directory - unable to find net-snmp-config

I am having the same problem

I am having the same problem. I imagine we are missing a library of some sort.

fixed by installing libsnmp-dev

sudo apt-get install libsnmp-dev

Wish this info had been in the first google return Oh well.
