beta8: map: create connection

I'm trying to create a connection between two items on a map: I keep getting this error:

Warning. Field [selementid1] is mandatory
Warning. Field [drawtype_off] is mandatory
Warning. Field [color_off] is mandatory

What is also strange is when I click save, Element 1 changes to MATCH Element 2, Type (OFF) changes to MATCH Type (ON), and Line (OFF) changes to MATCH Line (ON).

Anyone else see this behavior?
