I have set up an account with Ez-Text and API enabled. I have also set up the username/password on the Media Types (chose Ez-Text because its a partner and boasted minimal setup). Under actions I have a test -text template that is suppose to alert me when the following criteria are met: trigger value = PROBLEM. Under actions I have zabbix admin to be notified via SMS. The user "Zabbix Admin" has under the users properties box also send SMS with the "username of the Ex-Text account" with severity W.A.H (warning average high). I just want to know if it will work right now. So far nothing. I have been watching my FW for an outbound connection from the Server to the Eztext SMS Server but nothing. I suspect there is another location or a configuration piece I am missing. Any ideas? someone set this up before and maybe has found a "gotcha" somewhere.
