Agent does not collect data

Dear,

I have a strange problem. The zabbix agent collects only the item
update_cpustats () and does not respond to anything. I tried to compile from
source and the error persists. This occurs in the third server's are identical. Here
following scenario:

S.O: Centos 5.8 x86.64
Kernel: 2.6.18-308.11.1.el5 (last)
Agent Version: 2.0 (precompiled) and 2.0.1 (compiled from source)

And do not log out of it. If having it gives telnet localhost 10050 conection refused
right away. Have check firewall, permission from the zabbix folder,
SELINUX = disabled. What can be??

[In addition] I tried to install the agent 1.8, returned similar error:

The problem was solved after I installed kernel 2.6.18-308.11.1.el5.centos.plus. There has to understand exactly what was wrong (because the kernel version is the same), but somehow resolved.
