Stuck on Setup screen

I am installing Zabbix 2.0.1 on Ubuntu 12.04, with Apache 2.4.2. I went through setup once, and after completing it I was taken to the login screen and then the dashboard. I made some changes to conf/httpd.conf file of the apache server to have a better layout for the site. Now, localhost, localhost/zabbix, localhost/zabbix/index.php, localhost/lzabbix/atest.php, localhost/zabbix/dashboard.php or any other valid url takes me to the setup screen. Hitting 'Cancel' or completing the setup both takes me to the beginning of the setup.
Edit: Restarting the machine solved the issue locally. Now, when I access through localhost I reach the dashboard, BUT when I access externally through the IP address I still get the setup screen.
