Suddenly Zabbix Stopped Windows Event Log Monitoring

Dear All,

I am new zabbix user, I configured all the required stuffs to monitor my network everything works WELL! , A part of my work was Performing windows events logs Monitoring I configured it Too it was working for a couples of moments but when i clear history now its stop and not taking log even i reinstall the zabbix till everything is fine except windows Events logs.

I am using zabbix 2.0.2 the latest version and problem is not taking log of windows server 2008
PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE

Restart the Zabbix agent service on the Windows 2008 will fix the issue.

If the question is for me, then my answer is that I have a fresh install of 2.0.2 for a few months now. Yesterday I started implementing eventlog monitoring and have the same issue after clearing the history for the eventlog item. But it was fixed after I restarted the agent on the host.

The question was for the OP. If you go from 1.8.x to 2.x, there is an additional parameter in the zabbix_agentd.conf file: ServerActive=

This needs to be set in order for active agent items to work. Collecting log information is done by an active agent... so...
