    Getting no notifications (new setup)

I'm trying to get a new installation of zabbix (2.0.3) running on CentOS Linux 6.3, to send emails based on triggers and I'm unable to get any alerts sent. I do see the trigger change, for example when I stop a monitored service on a monitored machine. But the email is never sent. I also noticed that Administration > Notification report shows no notifications.

I have verified that I can successfully send an email from the command line via telnet from the zabbix server. But I don't know if I'm maybe missing some component Zabbix needs to send the email itself.

Can someone help me with some troubleshooting steps?
    Thanks!

OK, never mind. It was permissions. Missed that step somehow. Both email and Prowl alerts are now working.

What kind of permissions? I'm having the same problem!

      Thank you!

I believe that in order for a user to get alerts, they must have at least "read" access for the host in the Zabbix frontend that the alerts belong to.

It's been a long time; sorry I don't remember exactly.

I think I had to make changes on the Administration > Users > User Groups > [Group Name] > Permissions tab. What I actually did from there though I don't remember. Perhaps another user can elaborate a little.
