    Hello,
    Could you tell me how to change the keyboard in the Zabbix appliance. I am using a swiss-french keyboard.

    Try running yast, select hardware then keyboard.

    Here is what my appliance is running:
    cat /etc/*release
    openSUSE 12.1 (i586)
    VERSION = 12.1
    CODENAME = Asparagus
    NAME=openSUSE
    VERSION = 12.1 (Asparagus)
    VERSION_ID="12.1"
    PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE 12.1 (Asparagus) (i586)"
    ID=opensuse

        You may want to try
        Code:
        zypper in yast2-hardware-detection-2.22.0-4.1.1.x86_64
        and then set it in yast.

        or just omit the version, aka
        Code:
        zypper in yast2-hardware-detection

          @steveboyson: Thank sou for your answer and help. None of the above worked. (I'm using Zabbix appliance, 2.2, running inside hyper-v 2012 R2, I think, it's SUSE based. Link to Documentation)

          I found a sollution:

          To change the keyboard layout enter this (in my case slovenian keyboard):
          Code:
          loadkeys slovene
          To make the change permanent, you have to edit /etc/sysconfig/keyboard:
          Code:
          KEYTABLE="slovene"
