    zabbix[host,agent,available] behind proxy

I got a problem with host/agent availablity behind proxy
It always gives 1 - when agent is online/offline/proxy is offline
At the ame time agent which is connected "directly", without proxy, showing correct values - 1 for online 0 for offline

I was trying using proxy in both modes - acitve and passive - any help ?

    zabbix_server ver 2.0.4
    zabbix_proxy ver 2.0.3
    zabbix_agent(s) ver 2.0.4

      see https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-4684.

this is a known issue. the docs also state that zabbix internal items are not supported on proxies.

the best idea to do this behind proxies is to use the agent.ping item and set up a trigger for it using the nodata function

        Thanks for reply.
But if you use agent.ping and nodata, all hosts behind proxy will have "unreachable" status (a lot of false alarms) if the proxy itself is unreachable or connection to proxy is lost.

Yes, you're right, but I'm not aware of any other way to watch host status
