Discovery shows IP address

Hi,

Discovered hosts are always shown with their IP address instead with the hostname.
zabbix_agentd -t system.uname shows the correct hostname.

what's wrong here?

After some more digging in the forum I saw several similar questions, but no anwser afaik.

This is what I include in our discovery rules and I always get the FQDN for the host....only if a host is not in DNS will I get the IP..


Zabbix agent "agent.version"
Zabbix agent "system.apps" <-- Custom discovery I created
Zabbix agent "system.hostname"
Zabbix agent "system.type" <-- Custom discovery I created
Zabbix agent "system.uname"
