    Frontend: How to search what is Wrong ?

    Since I install zabbix frontend 2.0.0 I see many "aleatory" bugs on this interface.

    I already install more than 30 zabbix servers 2.x using the 2 OS (Debian or Centos) and... ALEATORY... some frontends have problems related to:
    1) Import templates;
    2) Create Graph;

    And in SOME BOX... (with the same SO) apear this problems... in anothers not apear.

    In SOME BOX when upgrade frontend the error disapear... after some time ... apear again...

    WHAT we can search to solve this ???

    Example:
    Created: Application "Status" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Item "ICMP - Tempo de resposta" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Item "ICMP - Ping" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Trigger "ICMP Ping Check" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Application "Capacidade" on "100_Linux".

    Created: Item "Descrição do SO" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Item "Memória Livre" on "100_Linux".
    Created: Item "Memória Total" on "100_Linux".

          Zabbix 2.0 has some known issues with importing.
          Compile and install the latest stable release (2.0.5) and see if that corrects your problems.

          And if you want to search, then look at the release notes for each version since 2.0 and do a keyword search for "import" or "template" on each page

          2.0.1: http://www.zabbix.com/rn2.0.1.php

          And then do the same for 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4 and 2.0.5

            Let-me check if I understand.

            The frontend and the binaries need to be updated at same time ?

            Have issues if I put a new subversion (2.0.4 and 2.0.5 for example) to run together ?

              I personally wouldn't have different versions if I were trying to correct an issue.
              I am not sure where the changes lie with the import function. I suspect it would be within the code itself, so then the emphasis would be on having the latest binary.

              With that being said, there are times in the past where I have only updated the frontend files without compiling a new binary... but that is where I knew the issue was with the frontend.

                Some times we need to upgrade frontend to resolv a bug... but dont have a schedule time for recompile and restart zabbix server process.

                  Assuming there are no database changes between versions, I have never had a problem with running different binary and web versions. They are almost entirely unrelated to each other. Imports only use the web code, so upgrade the web code and give it a try. You don't need to upgrade your binary.
