I have successfully installed zabbix on my openbsd box and everything went ok. but i am having problem:
I just want to monitor a pop3 server and a smtp server. these servers are out of my control, so i cannot install agents on them. but i know that zabbix supports the basic checks, like ping, pop, smtp and others. my question is how can i add these hosts using the web interface. should i add them as hosts or as items...? i can't understand the principle of adding monitored servers. i would be happy if someone could write me step-by-step how to add a pop3 server to be monitored
