Zbx 1.1: Even simple items: NOTSUPPORTED

I currently try to upgrade from Zabbix 1.0 to 1.1.
I succeeded in building the binaries. The server is running and a first agent has been configured (status monitored & available).
Unfortunately it is impossible to get any feedback from the agent. Even a very simple item like system.uptime is not 'answered'.
The log-file of the server gives the following mesage:

009882:20060606:181000 Type of received value [HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request
    Server: MiniServ/0.01
    Date: Tue, 6 Jun 2006 16:10:00 GMT
    Content-type: text/html
    Connection: close

    <h1>Error - Bad Request</h1>] is not sutable for [system.uptime@dbgr075x] having type [3]

Zabbix server and agent are running on a RH EL3 host (kernel 2.4.21-20).

Does anybody have a clue about the cause of the error?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regards
    Axel

This looks to me as if your webserver (apache?) is listening on Zabbix Ports (10050 / 10051)... please check who is listening there:
    Code:
    netstat -ap | grep 10050
    Code:
    netstat -ap | grep 10051
    Big ZABBIX is watching you!
(... and my 48 hosts, 4513 items, 1280 triggers via zabbix v1.6 on CentOS 5.0)

      Problem solved: Incorrect port number

      just2blue4u:
      Thank you for your reply.
The Zabbix server is listening to ports 10050 and 10051.

      Nevertheless:
Due to the former installation of Zabbix 1.0 the default port number for new hosts was set to '10000'. This of corse could not work. Setting the appropriate number (10051) helped to solve this issue.

      ---------------------------------------------------------
Just a short feed back to share my experiance of upgrading from 1.0 => 1.1:
      - It is unhandy to add all the DB patches manually
      - Some default settings are incorrect for the upgraded installation (see above)
      - Even simple items like vfs.fs.size[/home,free] did not work
      - at the very end, we descided to set up Zabbix from scratch, loosing all former collected data

      - On the other hand, the new elements like templates force a extensive re-organization of an existing installation any way. From my point of view, the new features are worth it.
