Problem with web frontend

Greetings.

I am a Zabbix newbie having just installed v2.0.5 from source on Mandrive 2010.2 for the first time ever.

Most of the installation and database (Postgresql) went smoothly and the server and agentd started as expected but when I try to browse to http://localhost/zabbix, I get a blank screen and an HTTP error 500 in the Apache log.

There are no error messages in either the server or agent logs and no indication in the Apache log as to what caused the error 500.

Where next?

Solved

I have resolved this issue.

Before installing 2.0.5 from source, I had installed 1.8 from the Mandriva repository.

I could not get 1.8 to work with PostgreSQL so switched to the source installation.

However, the 1.8 installation had left some Mandriva-specific sym links that caused the 2.0.5 PHP to crash.

Uninstalling 1.8 and reinstalling 2.0.5 left me with a working system.
