Zabbix 2.0.4 sends 3 problem and 3 recovery emails

and is causing a lot of spam .

How do I stop zabbix from sending three problem alert emails and three recovery alert emails.

One of each would be fantastic.








How do I change the settings so that only one problem and only one recovery email will be sent ?

which target e-mail address is used?
Is it a distribution list?
Have you configured only on e-mail address for each user?

Is this happen on every trigger or only some triggers?

Why do you combine "maintenance state" and "Trigger value" with "or" and not "and"?

The target email is a distribution list that includes IT SUpport staff.

There is only one user currently

It doesn't happen with all triggers.

It seems to only happen with the triggers built in to the template OS windows which is a zabbix supplied templte.

Other templates that monitor network devices seem to only send one email when there is a problem and one email when it is ok.

in regards to your last question "maintenance state" and "Trigger value" or was the defualt and it was just left that way. SO no particular reason.
