trigger based on log-item is not deactivating

In a template "mozsocial Template" I have an item with this key:

    log[/var/log/mozsocial.log,error:]

This works fine to grab the lines from the logfile. Now I also created a trigger so I'd be informed whenever such a line appeared. I want that it stays in the error state for 5 minutes. I created a trigger with this expression:

    {mozsocial Template:log[/var/log/mozsocial.log,error:].str(error,300)}=1

An error came in and the trigger matched, but then 5 minutes later it didn't turn off -- it hasn't actually turned off now an hour later.

I thought I had this working in a test, so I'm not sure what is wrong now.

Did any new data come into that item at all during the hour that you waited? Based on what I read in the documentation, that trigger would look at the last data it received, plus values up to 300 seconds before the last one. If your item did not receive any new data, the last value stayed as the "Error" one and kept the trigger active.

No, new data has not arrived after that point. It seems likely that you are correct. I wonder how I can create the trigger I want. Perhaps I can make combine it with another regular trigger (like CPU load) and explicitly check the event time.
