The 1.1 documentation is in a serious state of disrepair. Some major gaps.
I am trying to implement log monitoring. The docs reference a log[] parameter. It seems easy enough. Select Zabbix agent (active), and then log[log path here] as the key. Change data type to log. Make sure Zabbix user has access to the log.
And it does nothing. Others in the forums seem to report the same, but no one has any solutions. Some servers report no errors. Some say "Not Supported". (All servers are linux running 1.1 agentd). The ones without errors, in latest Date, have a History link, instead of a log link. Last check is blank on everything.
I can find no documentation on "agent" vs. "agent (active)". Nothing on log time formats.
I'm running Linux (Gentoo specifically), zabbix 1.1 final. This should work. What's up?
