Housekeeping

Hi All,
How to run the Housekeeping facilities in Zabbix 2.0.5?
I've changed the parameter in the server config file but I can't seen any messages in the server log file (Debug = 4). Is there a SQL script available somewhere?

In my zabbix_server.log I get entries when it runs. It is just using the default settings as far as I know. I haven't set up any special script.

This is the main sign that housekeeper works.

Don't worry... there are plenty of potholes in the road ahead.

By the way, there is only one setting that I know of where housekeeper can be disabled, and that is in zabbix_server.conf on your Zabbix App server. The default is for housekeeper to run.

### Option: DisableHousekeeping
#       If set to 1, disables housekeeping.
#
# Mandatory: no
# Range: 0-1
# Default:
# DisableHousekeeping=0

There are 2 other settings regarding Housekeeper settings in that conf file as well... HousekeepingFrequency and MaxHousekeeperDelete. However, I would leave these at the defaults unless you know what you are doing.

The only other setting regarding Housekeeper is in the frontend GUI at Administration --> General and then select "Housekeeper" from the dropdown at the top right.
