i am using zabbix 1.1 and i am monitoring servers with snmp, but also simple systems.
I use templates for monitoring and i link them to the hosts, there are hosts where i don't need all the items so i disable those items that i don't need.
For other hosts which are only using a simple check with icmpping key, the availability is "unknown", however they are correctly monitored and i see the latest values via monitoring.
The problem now is that for the hosts that have simple checks and other items disabled, i have an error like "Timeout while connecting to [BD_3COM_3300_Switch_A]" or "Cannot connect to [BD_3COM_3300_Switch_B] [Connection refused]" or "unknown" and also "Cannot connect to [LXAPBD50-cp0-1] [Connection refused]" and this latest with connection refused is only a simple check... and in monitoring i have as latest value Available (1) at time 15 Jun 09:48:22 so i am sure it is monitored.
The status in hosts is Monitored of all hosts.
any idea ?
