I found on 1.1 that when I save a media type it adds a semi-colon at the end of the 'When Active' field. When this happens I get no email messages. When I take it off thru an sql update it works.
When you where not getting the emails, did the monitoring actions show 'no actions found'? I am not getting emails either. i setup a media type and made the SQL change you suggested.
