    Zabbix 2.0.6 - Server unreachable

Does anyone have a working Windows template that will give unreachable alerts?

Our current template is working exactly as it should apart from this one alert and I can't seem to understand why.

    Any help is appreciated.

It's not really a server unreachable alert as much as it is a Zabbix agent unreachable alert. The syntax was changed somewhere in the 2.x releases. Check the trigger that you have in your Windows OS template. This is the current default trigger for Zabbix agent unreachable:
    Code:
    {Template OS Windows:agent.ping.nodata(5m)}=1

      Thanks for the reply.

When using that trigger we seem to get a lot of alerts when there really shouldn't be. This is why I was trying to find a trigger that would work.

Using the default trigger if I test an agent is contactable via telnet it responds so why is it producing the alert?

The data received from the host also (you can check in latest data)? Probably not.
I think that the trigger is working as it should and if the situation occurs, you should check whether the data is received and if not received, look for the cause of this behavior of agents.
