    same problem

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.

    I worked fine for one of the router but not for the orther one.
    I think it's a zabbix problem with the community.

    Have to wait for the next release and hope they are going to resolve the problem.

      #define NEW_APPROACH

      in checks_snmp.c and report back if it helped. Thanks.

            same pbs community

            Hi,

            I had 2 Items in my template looking for public community.
            And so the full host could bring any information. :-(

            I find and changed the community and now everythink is fine.
            Thanks

            Just an idea:
            I would be good to create a place on zabbix web site where users can share their template (hosts, items, map, graph) with other user witha system in zabbix to export or import this data.
            So, if somebody create a special template for a specific router with special data, he can share it with the community.
            What do you think about this idea ?
            I may suggest this idea in ZABBIX Suggestions and Feedback.

                Try it, still not work.

                I tryed that, but in some devices is not working.

                The OID is fine and the community is fine too.
                I test it with snmpwalk and it works fine, but in ZABBIX, it goes Timeout.

                I posted this problem in other places but no response.

                This is the details:
                #snmpwalk -v 1 -c [pass] XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX .1.3.6.1.4.1.4325.3.2.1.1.3

                This works fine it outputs:
                #SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.4325.3.2.1.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 6

                In ZABBIX goes timeout [LOG]:
                008334:20060710:134219 SNMP error [(genError) A general failure occured]
