    ZABBIX 1.1: Known issues & patches

    1. Linux agent random crash while evaluating proc.mem[]

    Fix:

    src/libs/zbxsysinfo/linux/proc.c, function PROC_MEMORY:

    while((entries=readdir(dir))!=NULL)
    {
    /* if(f) close(f) */
    if(f)
    {
    fclose(f);
    f = NULL;
    }

    Fixed in CVS. Wait for 1.1.1

      I'm having the same issue as Phileppe, the host availability status does not update, for me I only monitor windows servers, so that's where I'm having problems. I don't know about linux agents. For me it seems to usually only update if there is a change to the availability, but not always.. i deleted the item and recreated it to see if that would get it going again, but it didn't... right now the only host that shows correct is the one for a server that was rebooted last night...

      There is one server that the latest data shows a status of 2, but the server is up and running and so is the agent.. I'm collecting other data from it.. but it just shows a status of 2........ not sure why that is..?

          • Did you know that Zabbix is open source and you can use it for FREE ?
          • Did you know that all the problems mentioned are solved for FREE ?
          • Did you know that you are allowed to post patches ?
          • ....
          If you are not sattisfied with the speed problems get solved then get yourself a paid support contract and stop whining.

            hey,

            i know that it is FREE, but the purpose of the program is also that it is as good as it can be.
            And i know there is a lot of work involved but there are defenatly some (minor) problems with it and these problems must be taken care of IF they are some kind of buf or some imperfection in the base software.
            But if i never get reply from a developer, then i don't know.
            This is not whining like you say but helping to make it work, and that helps everybody !
            And i do respect Alexei for his work to it and the program is very usefull.
            And commercial support is great, but i have my server up and running and i have zabbix up and running.
            The problems are related to the base and a commercial contract can't help with that, or do people with a commercial contract have less bugs ?
            anyway, i am happy with zabbix 1.1, don't see me wrong.

              Try this...

              Philippe, try this : on your monitored Windows server, stop the Zabbix client service and then look on your Zabbix website if host availability is updating.

                      Hi Alexei

                      Is there any plans for the zabbix next stable release or some minor release with critical patches?

                      Regards

                            Currently we are working on ZABBIX roadmap for the next major stable release. The roadmap will be finalized and published in 10-14 days. It will also include rough plan for future releases.
