Zabbix server does't send notifications to another user who is not admin

Hello to all. My problem is the netx:

I'm running Zabbix server 2.0.7 on Debian Wheezy. I'm currently configured the media type (e-mail), the media for the user admin and for my user ("Mauro") and enable the default notification "Report problems to Zabbix administrators".

When I enable de media for user admin the e-mails notification are sending normally. Every time a trigger is activated I receive an e-mail notification in my account.

The problem is that when I disable the media for the user admin and enable for my user (Mauro) I don't receive any notification.

The configuration for the media is exactly the same for the two users.

The default action "Report problems to Zabbix administrators" is configured to send the notification for user in "Zabbix administrators group", so I configured my user to be member of this group.

So, I don't really know what more else check. I suspect I'm missing something, but I'm reading the Zabbix manual and I can't find anything else to help me understand that I'm doing wrong and that's why I request the forum help.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Best regards.

    Mauro.

One criteria that must be met is that the user you are trying to send notifications to, has at least read rights to the server where the problem is happening. These rights are assigned at the user group level.

Thanks a lot, you solved my problem!

I wonder if the manual mentions what you said, I have read quite a few sections but have not found anything related to permissions for sending notifications.

      Best regards, Mauro.

I ran into this problem too. Permissions were fine but action was only for admins.

Check out Configuration -> Actions -> Trigger Actions

You will see a default one that sends messages only to Zabbix administrators. Add additional actions for the groups you wish to add. This fixed it for me.

        Works in version 6.0
