zabbix 2.0.6 problem failed: first network error, wait for 15 seconds

    Hi everybody

I have very wired problem. I'm using zabbix 2.0.6 under centos 6.4 with postgresql.
I using SNMPv3 to monitor Juniper router. From zabbix server if I'm doing (snmpget -v 3.........) with the OID for the VPN status for example I get answer. In GUI when i checked latest data for this host for example (BJSOPS-router) I have the right value. But on the server side the log file I have lot of error like this "[VPN_Status] on host [BJSOPS-router] failed: first network error, wait for 15 seconds".
I understood nothing and for other router same model, same template, same ios I cannot get the value, and still get lot of error on the log file I don't know why.
Today I updated the zabbix version to 2.0.8 but still same problem. Nobody can help me please??

    Thanks for your help

On your Zabbix server, in zabbix_server.conf, what value do you have for Timeout= ? If you have the default of 3, try increasing that to 10 and restarting your Zabbix server process.

(Edit) I also seem to recall a somewhat similar issue where the user reported that he changed SNMPV3 to using SNMPV2 on his items and it solved the problems he was seeing. Maybe worth a try?

Thanks tchjts1 I though nobody gonna help me .

I went to zabbix_server.conf , my value for the timeout was the default value so I increase to 10.
But still same, about SNMPv2 for security reason i cannot use it in my company. SO have to find solution with SNMPv3. If someone have any idea feel free to let me know.

        Thanks

Take a look at this post... The last paragraph and the graphs. If you have these graphs, can you post screenshots of them showing a 1 or 2 day period?

              Hi,

I solved this issue. In fact all my devices had the same Local-engine-id that's why I got this error.

              Thanks
