after moving zabbix server endless execute action

I stopped my correct working zabbix 2.0.8 server, dumped the postgres 9.1 database with pg_dump. I configured a new zabbix server, imported all the data. Started the Zabbix server.


All seems to go correct. The new server works, accepts data.

But one big problem: the server sends with max speed endless emails.

I disabled the items, I disabled the alert. The server continues to send hundreds of emails per minute. Because of the enormous amount of mail I had to stop the zabbix server.

I have hardly an idea how to solve this problem. Can anyone help?

Found it

In the time the old server was waiting for the migration the server was not able to send alerts. Because of the extend of the migration lots of alerts where waiting to be handled. I think about 150.000. When the server was migrated and working correctly all these alerts where handled and the server became unusable.

I modified the database: delete * from alerts.

As far as I can see all is going well now.
